What You Will Do
The Campus Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will provide nutrition counseling, educational programs, and support to students, promoting healthy eating habits and overall well-being on campus.
This role is key in fostering a healthy campus community, addressing nutrition-related concerns, and collaborating with Counseling and Health Services, Athletics, Campus Recreation, Dining, and the Exercise, Sport, and Nutrition Sciences Department to create a comprehensive wellness strategy for our institution.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
-Possession of current Registered Dietitian licensure from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations and credentials and registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Preferred Qualifications
-Previous experience in nutrition counseling and wellness programming. -Experience collaborating with medical and behavioral health professionals. -Experience and/or additional specialty training in disordered eating behaviors or body image concerns. -Experience with sports nutrition, including providing guidance for student-athletes on performance, recovery, and dietary strategies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Knowledge of clinical nutrition and diet therapy. -Knowledge of basic food service operations. -Knowledge of nutritional assessment methods used to maintain nutritional status of patients and to develop and implement nutritional care plans for patients. -Knowledge of methods and techniques used to educate and instruct patients/clients. -Skill in time management, organization, and responding effectively to challenges. -Skill in interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication. -Ability to supervise/precept, support, and evaluate students. -Ability to prioritize work, demonstrate sound judgment, and work independently. -Ability to work well with a wide variety of staff members of varying education and cultures.
