Description
Join an award-winning team! The Town of Smyrna is a proud recipient of the Wellness Alliance Well Workplace Bronze Award and the Cigna Gold Healthy Workplace Designation. We are looking for a high-energy Wellness Program Coordinator to build on this momentum.
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will be the architect of our health culture—balancing strategic administration (vendor relations and data-driven planning) with hands-on engagement (personal training and health coaching) for our diverse workforce and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Design and manage a measurable annual Health and Wellness plan, including marketing initiatives and the biennial Health and Benefits Fair.
Program Advocacy: Serve as the primary liaison for the on-site health center and insurance providers to maximize benefits, tobacco cessation, and educational "brown bag" sessions.
Direct Coaching & Instruction: Lead group fitness (yoga, cardio, strength) and provide one-on-one health coaching focused on nutrition, behavior change, and personalized fitness goals.
Management & Operations: Supervise the Wellness Specialist, oversee the City Hall Fitness Center maintenance, and manage the Health Risk Assessment (HRA) incentive programs.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all programs and facilities meet top-tier safety standards and industry best practices.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a proactive motivator who thrives on variety. Whether you are analyzing participation data to report to leadership or leading an active stretching session for field crews, you bring professionalism and a "team-first" attitude to everything you do.
